Refund and Cancellation Policy

Clarity Edit provides customized digital photo-editing services based on each client’s files, instructions, and approved quote. Because our services and deliverables are digital, physical product returns do not apply.

This Policy explains how cancellations, revisions, service-quality concerns, and refunds are handled. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

Order-specific quotes or invoices control the agreed scope, price, delivery schedule, and included revisions. This Policy controls cancellations and refunds unless an order-specific written agreement provides the client with more favorable terms. Mandatory rights under applicable law always prevail.

1. Definitions

For this Policy:

  • Order means a paid or otherwise confirmed photo-editing project accepted by Clarity Edit.
  • Work Starts when an editor begins production work on the client’s files after the Order is confirmed. Reviewing files for a quote or completing a free trial does not mean that paid work has started.
  • Completed Work means editing that has been completed according to the agreed brief and is capable of being delivered and used by the client. Internal administration, quoting, or unusable unfinished work is not treated as Completed Work.
  • Delivery occurs when edited files or a working download link are sent through the agreed email, file-transfer service, or other delivery channel.
  • Original Brief means the written instructions, reference files, output requirements, and scope accepted in the quote or Order confirmation.

2. Cancellation Before Work Starts

A client who cancels an Order in writing before Work Starts will receive a full refund of the amount paid for that Order.

Clarity Edit will not charge an administrative fee, cancellation fee, or payment-processing deduction for a cancellation made before Work Starts.

3. Cancellation After Work Starts

If a client cancels an Order after Work Starts, Clarity Edit will refund the value of the uncompleted portion of the Order.

The refund will normally be calculated as follows:

Refund Amount = Amount Paid − Value of Completed Work − Approved Non-Recoverable Third-Party Costs

The value of Completed Work will be calculated using:

  • The agreed per-image price and number of completed images;
  • Completed milestones identified in the quote or project schedule; or
  • A reasonable and documented percentage of completed work where the project has a fixed price and cannot fairly be divided by image or milestone.

Clarity Edit will provide the client with a clear breakdown of the calculation and deliver the usable Completed Work for which payment is retained.

Completed work will be valued using the rates agreed for the Order. It will not be retrospectively repriced at a higher rate unless a volume-adjustment rule was clearly stated in the accepted quote.

There is no additional cancellation fee.

Example: If a client pays USD 100 for 100 images and cancels after 30 images have been completed, Clarity Edit will normally retain USD 30, deliver the 30 completed images, and refund USD 70.

If Completed Work exceeds the amount already paid, no refund will be due. Any additional payment will only be payable where the accepted quote or invoice clearly provides for progress-based charges.

4. Non-Recoverable Third-Party Costs

A third-party cost may only be deducted if it was:

  • Necessary for the client’s Order;
  • Disclosed to and approved by the client in writing before it was incurred;
  • Actually incurred and non-recoverable; and
  • Supported by a reasonable written breakdown or receipt when requested.

Routine administration, internal business costs, and ordinary payment-processing fees will not be added as cancellation charges.

5. Revisions and the Review Period

The number of included revision rounds and the review period will be stated in the applicable plan, quote, or Order confirmation.

If no review period is stated, the client must submit revision or service-quality feedback within 7 calendar days of the relevant Delivery.

Included revisions must relate to the Original Brief. New instructions, a different creative direction, additional files, or an expanded scope may require a revised quote.

Where a plan expressly includes “unlimited revisions,” this means reasonable and specific revision requests:

  • Submitted during the stated review period;
  • Related to the Original Brief; and
  • Intended to bring the deliverables into conformity with the agreed requirements.

It does not include unlimited new concepts, repeated changes of direction, additional services, or an indefinite obligation to continue work.

6. Service-Quality Concerns After Delivery

If delivered work materially differs from the Original Brief, the client should first provide clear feedback and allow Clarity Edit a reasonable opportunity to correct the affected work through the included revision process.

A refund may be available if:

  • The deliverables materially fail to follow the Original Brief;
  • Clarity Edit cannot correct the material problem within a reasonable time;
  • Clarity Edit cannot provide the paid service;
  • A material written deadline is missed solely because of Clarity Edit and the affected work is no longer reasonably usable; or
  • A refund is required by applicable law.

A refund will normally apply only to the affected images, deliverables, or milestone. A full refund may be provided if the entire paid service is unusable because of a clear and uncorrected failure by Clarity Edit.

7. Duplicate Payments

A verified duplicate payment will be refunded in full. The refund will cover the duplicated amount and will not be reduced by a cancellation or administration fee.

8. Situations Normally Not Eligible for a Refund

Subject to applicable law, a refund is not normally available for:

  • Completed work that materially conforms to the Original Brief;
  • A change of mind after conforming work has been delivered;
  • New instructions or scope changes introduced after Work Starts;
  • Dissatisfaction based only on a new creative preference that was not included in the Original Brief;
  • Problems caused by inaccurate instructions or unsuitable source files where the relevant limitation was disclosed before work continued;
  • Delays caused by the client’s late files, incomplete instructions, delayed feedback, or failure to respond;
  • Free-trial work for which no payment was made; or
  • Unaffected portions of a batch where only specific files have a verified service-quality problem.

These exclusions do not remove any mandatory legal right.

9. Cancellation by Clarity Edit

Clarity Edit may decline or cancel an Order where:

  • The requested work appears unlawful or infringes another person’s rights;
  • The client does not have the required authority to use the supplied files;
  • The project is technically infeasible;
  • Required instructions or files are not provided;
  • Fraudulent payment or misuse is reasonably suspected; or
  • Abusive or threatening conduct makes it unreasonable to continue the service.

If Clarity Edit cancels an Order before Work Starts, the client will receive a full refund.

If Clarity Edit cancels after Work Starts, the client will receive the Completed Work that can legally be delivered and a pro-rata refund for the uncompleted portion, subject to applicable law.

If Clarity Edit cannot deliver any usable work, the full amount paid for the affected Order will be refunded. Such refunds will be issued promptly and within any mandatory legal deadline.

10. How to Submit a Request

Cancellation, revision, or refund requests should be submitted through:

Contact page: https://www.clarityedit.com/contact/
Phone: +880 1970 558 878

Please provide:

  • Your name and contact email;
  • Quote, invoice, or Order reference;
  • The affected filenames or service;
  • The Original Brief or relevant written instructions;
  • A clear explanation of the request; and
  • Screenshots or annotated examples where they help explain a quality concern.

Do not send full card numbers, passwords, or other unnecessary financial credentials.

11. Review and Refund Processing

Clarity Edit will normally:

  • Acknowledge a complete request within 2 business days;
  • Review it within 5 business days after receiving the necessary information; and
  • Issue an approved refund within 7 calendar days after approval or within any shorter period required by applicable law.

Refunds will normally be issued through the original payment method. If that method is unavailable, an alternative method must be agreed in writing.

Clarity Edit does not charge a separate refund administration fee. A payment provider or financial institution may require additional time to post the refund or may apply currency-conversion charges outside Clarity Edit’s control.

12. Statutory Cancellation and Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or replaces a right that cannot lawfully be waived.

If applicable law gives a client a longer cooling-off, cancellation, complaint, repair, repeat-performance, price-reduction, or refund right, that legal right will prevail over any shorter contractual period in this Policy.

Where applicable law provides a cooling-off period and a client asks Clarity Edit to begin work during that period, the client may be responsible for the proportionate value of services supplied before cancellation.

Where legally required, Clarity Edit will obtain a separate express request to begin work during the cooling-off period and the client’s acknowledgment that the cancellation right may end once the service has been fully performed.

The 7-day contractual review period does not prevent a client from exercising a longer mandatory statutory right or submitting a complaint within a legally protected period.

13. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh. However, this choice does not deprive an eligible consumer of mandatory protections that apply under the laws of the consumer’s country or region.

14. Changes to This Policy

This version applies to Orders placed on or after 2 August 2026.

Future changes will apply prospectively. The version accepted when an Order was placed will continue to govern that Order unless a change is required by law or is agreed in writing by both parties.
